LEGAL & POLICIES

Your Privacy Matters

At Cameron Gateways, we ensure a smooth and transparent booking experience with clear guidelines for how we handle your personal information.

This page outlines Cameron Gateways' privacy practices and booking policies. Please review each section carefully before confirming your reservation.

01

Down Payment

To reserve your spot on any Cameron Highlands trip, a minimum down payment of 20% of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance must be settled 30 days prior to departure, or upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur — whichever comes first.

02

Pay Your Deposit

We offer three convenient payment methods to secure your booking: online payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), bank transfer, or a personal WeTravel payment link from our team.

03

Payment of the Balance

The remaining balance is due one month prior to your arrival in Malaysia. A 3.5% handling fee applies to all credit card payments. No handling fee is charged for bank transfers.

04

Last-Minute Booking

We accept last-minute bookings only for excursions within West Malaysia. Last-minute bookings for East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak) trips are not accepted due to flight booking, permit, and local logistics requirements.

05

Refund Policy

In the event of trip cancellation, the 20% deposit is non-refundable. However, clients may reschedule their trip for a later date at no additional cost. Written notification via email is required to process any cancellation or reschedule request.

06

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policies vary by tour type. Day tours cancelled within 24 hours of departure receive no refund. Multi-day tours cancelled less than 48 hours before departure receive no refund. In all other cases, the deposit may be credited toward a future Cameron Highlands trip.

07

Single Supplement Charge

Our tour and trek packages are based on twin-sharing accommodation. A single supplement charge will apply if a participant does not have another traveller to share a room or tent.

08

Incomplete Tour

No refund will be made for clients who leave the trip early or drop out, regardless of the unused portion of the itinerary. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

09

Unforeseen Circumstances

If Cameron Gateways must cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer an alternative trip of comparable value. If the alternative does not suit your interests, all payments made to Cameron Gateways will be fully refunded.

10

Clients' Responsibility

The tour or trek guide representing Cameron Gateways holds full authority during the trip and must be respected at all times. The guide's decisions are final and made in the best interests of all participants.

11

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is required for all clients. Your policy must cover medical emergencies, natural calamities, emergency medical evacuation, personal accidents, and trip cancellation or curtailment.

12

Tour Amendment

Advance notice is required for any changes to an agreed itinerary. In certain circumstances — including adverse weather or trail closures — changes may need to be made during the trip itself for safety and logistics.

13

Papers & Documents

It is the client's sole responsibility to ensure valid passports, visas, travel permits, travel insurance, and all other required documentation. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure.
